Dracaena Angustifolia


Dracaena angustifolia is a species of Asian tropical forest under-storey plants in the family Asparagaceae.

The native range of this species is from Bangladesh, through Indo-China and Malesia to northern Australia.

D. angustifolia is a shrub, up to 3 metres (9.8 ft) high, with leaves 150–250 millimetres (5.9–9.8 in) x 20–30 millimetres (0.79–1.18 in) wide. The yellowish flowers are about 20 millimetres (0.79 in) long.

The leaves are used to make green food coloring. D. angustifolia is used traditionally as medicine for several different ailments. It is also planted as a hedge.
